Quilt for Alyssa

I have know Alyssa since she was a toddler. She has now grown to a beautiful young lady. She just graduated with High Honors from Foothill High School here in Henderson, Nevada. She is one of my best friends daughter. A little while ago Riley Blake came out with a line of fabric that represented the Young Women theme for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was excited to be able to have Alyssa as one of my young women in my ward so I thought it was appropriate to make her a quilt out of this fabric.
I big stitched around the tree. I should of taken better pictures. It is boarder with different blocks that represent the eight Young Women Values. I bound it in a light blue binding. The back is in a print from the line.

Here it is ready to take to her party this weekend. She also put in for her mission call which she received this week. That is what the party is for, to open her mission call and see where she will be going this fall. It will be exciting to see where she will be going!
On to the next project! Happy Quilting!
